Kris (Weaver) Mase is a Lancaster County native, graduating with honors from Ephrata Area High School in 1997. She went to college at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN, where she graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Microcomputer Applications. After briefly pursuing a career in retail management in Nashville, she moved back to Ephrata and dabbled in retail and data processing jobs until at last she interviewed at Morrissey Insurance at the recommendation of her friend Chad Weaver, then Chief of Staff for PA State Senator, Noah Wenger. Kris started her work at Morrissey’s in February of 2001, confessing to knowing not a thing about insurance! In June of 2001, she passed her Property and Casualty licensing exam and moved on to her work on crop certification. The agents at Morrissey’s “took her under their wings” and trained, educated, and molded her over the next few years. Today, Kris heads up the crop insurance department at Morrissey Insurance. Sales and service of the crop policies are her main focus, but she also enjoys expressing a creative side by producing advertisements and brochures for the agency, maintaining their website, and exhibiting/speaking at various trade shows and young farmer groups. Kris married a former Lebanon County dairyman and Jake now works as an AI technician for Select Sires. The couple resides in Lebanon and welcomed a baby boy, Wyatt Kenneth, to their family on March 3, 2008. Their newest addition, Aubrey Anne, was born on December 2, 2009.
